It’s not wrong to say the Dragster carved its own class in the two wheel world!
True to its heart, the Dragster incorporates high-end engineering mixed with motorcycle racing DNA. Trellis frame, center-hub steering as well as other unique features derived from racing technology sets the Dragster truly apart from any other scooter as well as motorcycle. Additional to the successful Dragster 200, the 300 features the Piaggio HPE engine and sets the Dragster on a new level in terms of factory performance. A trusted, well known engine – probably one of the best scooter engines in the world – has been adapted to the sporty nature of the Dragster.
The Dragster 300 is available in Red/black, in Yellow/white and very few units in Malossi livery.
While its Italjet heritage is clearly visible, it is a modern re-birth going a step further, while similarities with the original Dragster from 1998 – like the trellis frame and the centre hub steering – remain. However, the use of modern designs and materials, the powerful liquid cooled four-stroke engine and the wide range of accessories available make it a truly unique vehicle. But it is as exciting to ride as it looks!
If you ever wondered what makes the new Dragster so unique, there are a few features that are in this combination hardly found in any other 2-wheeled vehicle. The Dragster is is not setting a new standard: It is above and beyond anything else available on the market.
The unique Center Hub Steering separates the steering, braking, and suspension function, providing unique stability. It filters any kind of roughness, without transmitting vibrations to the handlebar. The original Dragster featured this unique setup and the only other 2-wheeled vehicle fitted with this system is the Bimota Tesi 3D.
A liquid-cooled Euro 5-designed engine with an output of almost 24hp combined with an overall dry weight of 128kg delivers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio. The Italian-designed four-valve engine builds one unit with the swingarm that is suspended with a fully adjustable Fastace monoshock absorber for optimal drivability. The wide 140mm rear tyre provides ultimate grip on the road and ensures an optimal transmission of the high power output from the engine to the road.
LED lights are now universal in most new vehicles. However, the Dragster goes a step further with its animated front and rear LED light systems: You’d have to see it in real life when the vehicle is turned on. Just the lighting alone emits attitude that there is a serious racer and contender springing into life ready to ride.
